Why trust Pryon?
Across the commercial, federal, state, and local sectors, organizations of all shapes and sizes trust Pryon’s generative AI platform to securely deliver the right information at the right time. Here are a few reasons why.
Secure product architecture
No data sharing: SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, read-only access to content repositories, and database and collection segmentation keep customer data secure
Enforced access controls: Document-level access control lists (ACLs) are inherited directly from the customer’s repository permissions, ensuring users can efficiently see and retrieve the information they should have access to. Additionally, Pryon supports seamless integration with Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO), and user identification is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), ensuring secure, named-user access.
Trustworthy foundation: Public cloud deployments run on Google Cloud Platform, with 140-2 FIPS compliance and 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest
Gen AI done responsibly
No training on customer data: Pryon’s LLMs won’t spread any proprietary or sensitive information to other organizations
Trusted responses: Protection against hallucinated responses through out-of-domain detection, confidence scoring, and fine-tuned granular source attribution with every response
Verifiable AI: Complete audit trail for all AI outputs and the ability to leverage Pryon’s own LLM if you don’t want your data sent to a third party

FAQs
Is Pryon SOC 2 Type 2-compliant?
Yes, Pryon complies with SOC 2 Type 2, ensuring it meets rigorous security requirements that keep customers’ data safe. SOC II compliance is based on five key principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. We have an audit report available for review. Along with an independent audit, Pryon has invested in key technologies to help scale, protect, and architect our platform based on industry best practices.
Is data in Pryon encrypted?
When a customer’s instance of Pryon runs in a public cloud environment, the customer’s data resides in GCP and is encrypted at rest and in transit. In a private cloud or on-premises deployment, encryption depends on the policies of the customer’s infrastructure provider.
Do Pryon’s AI models train on customer data?
No, Pryon’s AI models do not train on customer data. This eliminates the risk that Pryon’s LLMs could learn from a company's intellectual property and spread it to other organizations.
How does Pryon align with NIST’s AI Risk Management Framework?
NIST’s AI Risk Management Framework, released in January 2023, describes how organizations can incorporate trustworthiness considerations into the design, development, use, and evaluation of AI products, services, and systems. Pryon has put together a document that summarizes the risks of GenAI that NIST has identified and explains how Pryon’s GenAI solutions addresses these risks. You can find that document here.
What corporate security measures does Pryon have in place?
Pryon has instituted a broad range of corporate security measures to protect against unauthorized data access. These include endpoint protection and monitoring; patching, automation, and updating for vulnerabilities; vault and lockdown protocols for confidential and POC files and file storage areas; penetration testing; mandatory background checks for all employees; and regular employee security awareness training.
Does Pryon have a security whitepaper available for review?
